Retail Space Planning

For the last few years, and continuing into the foreseeable future, YourCad has supplied a number of drafting services to a major sports who has already completed 4 stores and plans to open many more over the next few years.

YourCad provides the following roles in this contract alongside the construction managers approval...

• Initial concept sketches: Upon receiving a topographical survey or using Google Earth, we will produce concept Store sketches taking into account, Car parking areas, unloading options for articulated vehicles, store entry area, play and display areas, and site access. From these layouts it is decided by the construction manager whether to further the site or to dismiss.

• Proposed/Planning Layouts: Once a concept has been deemed suitable, we will provide an internal and or site layout depending on the site. In this we include back of house layouts and sales area layouts to be approved. Once planning has been agreed we then produce equipment layouts/Ceiling Layouts/Floor Layouts/Advertising Signage/Electrical Layouts & Mechanical Layouts to be sent out for Tenders.

• Construction Drawings: Once approved for construction, we revise the drawings to the next stage and provide any more relevant drawings such as service cupboard layouts, Extension details for planning permissions, CDM layouts etc.

• As fits: Upon completion the changes to the store are passed on to ourselves and we modify the drawings as required aswell as producing Fire Route Plans and Extinguisher Layouts. We also provide Planning Variation drawings upon modifications to initial Planning application.

• Surveys: We have been to existing sites to carry out surveys on general building service equipment and store layouts for existing Store refurbishments aswell as planning drawings for new facilities.
